Management Today: Cryptocurrencies: the Most Important Invention Since the Internet?

BCB Group’s Chief Product Officer, Chris Aruliah, shares his insights on the parallels between what is happening in the financial sector now and the maturation of the web in the late 1990s and early 2000s. 

“We’re on a journey of 10 to 20 years where our financial system is being redefined and a parallel financial system is emerging.  When the internet was dawning, I ran an ecommerce business, and when I started, distance-selling rules didn’t even exist. We were still building the infrastructure. Now the same thing is happening. When we talk about blockchains, we’re talking about the rails being built over which future money will flow”
